How much better is a 2016 smart phone in 2020

Here I am taking Samsung on 7 pro which was an amazing phone of mid low range price at that time lets compare each specifications and then will give the final judgement.

Lets see the connectivity part

The phone is packed up with network connectivity upto 4g this means 3g , 2g and 4g and lte all works on this phone amazingly as 5g isn’t available till date for use therefore it is ok for right now and the speed achieved by the phone in 4g is up to 5.5 mb/s (tested) which is quite decent for video surfing and daily chatting , in comparison to todays phone (realme c3) you get upto 6 mb/s of speed which is of course amazing but for a 4 year old phone its quite amazing to get that much high speed .

Body design and storage

Here you get plastic back and a glass front obviously with a TFT display screen size here of 5.5 inch which is quite small as at that time bezels were really large and the back panel here is removable which is rarest now in phone with a removable battery and with dual sim support , on looks the phone looks like classic samsung phone with one camera at front and one at the back no dual or quad camera’s here’s the phone is having micro usb type b port which was quite common at that time in phones and the phone as told before look classy with that common Samsung design used years before and the phone also had a physical home button which is not that big detail but the phone now a days lack this feature . overall the phone look classy not bad but classy and with a lot of bezels and the phone is lower on the side of the design at the current time is old and has a leather like fake texture which looks good but not that good.

Display

The phone is having an ohk display that is TFT display which has nice viewing angles size is quite low which is not good in 2020 as its having huge bezels and the display is only hd means it supports video up to 720p. less for now but back then was sufficient . as a comparison realme c3 is having a 6.5 inches screen . a lot good and the price of both phone at the time of launch was same .

Platform

Here it uses android 6 quite old and has a slow snapdragon 410 processor which is worst on the phone cant run even small games not for gaming .

Camera

The phone is having a 13mp and 2.1f camera with video recording up to full hd at 30 fps which is amazing good but the quality is bad on front its having 8mp of camera with f/2.2 also is amazing gets nice images .

Battery

The phone doesn’t have fast charging and has a 3000 mah of battery which is less but goes ohk with the hardware supported by the phone on the other side the minimum of 4000 mah battery in the phones of 2020 is amazing but its only a increment of 1000 mah with upgrade in hardware too becomes same.

Other things

The phone has a earphone jack which is good . 4.1 bluetooth which is ohk not good nor bad , with accelerometer and proximity sensor which sufficient for regular normal use. Comes in three color white , black and gold.

Conclusion

As a phone 4 year back for normal use like calling and chatting and clicking pics and surfing net streaming content for real low price the deal is good in comparison to the budget phone of 2020 here (realme c3) is amazing with 5000 mah batter and 6.5 inch screen with a lot better processor.
